FL Child Custody Law to Change

by Administrator 24. June 2009 06:07

In Florida, child custody laws are changing in the wake of a tragedy that occurred in 2006. A woman allowed her children to spend some time with their father a few days before Christmas that year. A few hours after leaving the children with him, the mother returned to find her home ablaze with the children inside.

Now, a Florida senator has sponsored a bill to strengthen regulations on child custody cases that involve parents with violent histories. That bill was recently signed into law by the Governor, hoping to prevent situations like this from ever happening again.
