Dennis Hopper Files for Divorce, Restraining Order

by Administrator 12. February 2010 06:34

Veteran actor Dennis Hopper has filed for divorce from his wife of 13 years.

The 73 year-old Hollywood legend, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for inoperable, metastasized prostate cancer, filed for divorce on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court. Court documents detail lots of screaming and shouting among the actor and his wife.

The actor's son, 19-year-old son Henry, said in a deposition that Victoria Duffy, Hoppers estranged wife, has "made my father's life a living hell over the last six months."

A judge recently granted Hopper's request for a restraining order against Duffy. The order stipulates that she must stay ten feet away from Hopper and his adult children at all times. She is also barred from entering Hopper's primary residence.

David Agus, Hopper's personal physician, said the divorce is having an adverse effect on the actor's battle with cancer. "It is my belief and recommendation..." Agus said, "...that the less Mr. Hopper has to do with his estranged wife at this time, the more likely he is to have his life extended."

Hulk Hogan's Wife Files for Divorce

by Administrator 13. May 2009 09:11

The wife of pro-wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan has filed for divorce. The filing cites "irreconcilable differences" as the cause for the divorce.

Recently this story has been all over the news after Hulk Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, made some controversial comments in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. The wrestler told Rolling Stone "You live half a mile from the 20,000-square-foot home you can't go to anymore, you're driving through downtown Clearwater and see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is sleeping in your bed, with your wife... I totally understand OJ. I get it."

After the statement was made Linda Hogan's representative issued a statement saying "We have always maintained that the fear that Linda has had to live with comes from the rage and instability much too often associated with pro wrestlers... Linda and her family are taking these recent homicidal comments seriously." The statement concluded by saying that Linda's attorney was weighing her legal options.

Linda Hogan then filed papers in Pinellas County, Florida asking for an additional $8,200 a month from Bollea so she can move "thousands of miles away" from him. She feels she is in "imminent danger of becoming a victim." She is also asking for $24,000 for "advanced rent and security deposits."

Linda is threatening to file a domestic violence injuction against Bollea if he does not pay - with special terms to keep him from using the media to slander her.
